New RPG: Danse Macabre

Since the earliest days of man, there have been stories about night walkers, people who have been reduced almost to a shell of themselves, and can only walk around under the cover of darkness. According to the time and place, there have been different names for these creatures, but the most popular would be vampire. There have been all sorts of speculation about who they are, where they are living, how far back they trace, but humans have never been able to find concrete proof of the existence of this species that walks a fine line between the human world and the beyond.

Vampires have always chosen to remain hidden in the shadows and to keep away from the humans. Occasionally, there would be a rogue vampire who would attempt to reveal the presence of their kind to the ordinary humans, but they were swiftly dealt with. In recent years, however, the Romanian vampire community, one of the oldest and most powerful ones, has debated back and forth with the idea of coming out. For the most part, vampires are confined to the darkness, with only a few exceptions in the form of vampires with Daylight Rings. For centuries, rare humans have been serving as willing donors of blood. But the vampires wanted to remain hidden no more. Although they’d be mostly confined to the darkness, still, they wanted to be able to walk the streets just like the humans, instead of lurking in the shadows and their secret hideaways.

So, six months ago, the three vampire clans of Romania, the Lamiae, the Varcolac, and the Dakhanavar decided that the time was right. With the new year and the new decade, they would make themselves known. The clans contacted a local television station and the leader of the Lamiae (the most peaceful of the three clans), gave a speech announcing the presence of vampires in Romania but assured the people that they were safe.

In the six months that have followed, this has proven to be less than true. While the Romanian people were shocked and far from welcoming of their dead counterparts, the Varcolac and the Dakhanavar have cemented the reputation that vampires are not to be trusted. While most of the members of these clans are behaving themselves, a few rogue vampires have begun randomly attacking people on the streets. This has angered the generally peaceful Lamiae, who have always respected humans and held them in high esteem, and a war is brewing between the three clans.

It is now impossible to erase the knowledge that vampires exist, but the legacy of vampires is still hotly up for debate. The Lamiae wish to co-exist with the humans and see them as equal counterparts, but the Varcolac and Dakhanavar have no such goals. They intend to rain supreme over the humans. Now, Romania is in chaos, divided between the day and the night, but also clan by clan, and in this careful danse macabre, there is no telling who will come out on top.

Game re-opening: Immortal Incarnations!

Some of our members who have been with us since the start of the board (over 4 years now, can you believe it?) may remember Immortal Incarnations from the board’s early days. It was a small RPG about a group of college students who were reincarnated Greek Gods. The RPG is back, but we have expanded the premise and there is now a war brewing between Gods on earth. Anyone can join, and we hope that our members will. Not a member of PE? Don’t worry, we’re always looking for people to join our family and if you’re a fan of mythology, this would be a great game for you to join!

Character updates.

Character update forms have gone up again. Staff and members are both required to fill out the forms. If you do not fill them out, your characters will be archived, regardless of how active you are on the board. This is being done in fairness to the members who take the time to fill out our forms each and every time. You have three weeks!

Welcome to Perfect Ending’s new Tumblr.

Welcome to PE’s Tumblr, version 2.0. On behalf of the staff, consider this a little hello and our way of introducing the board. Perfect Ending is first and foremost a roleplaying board. We have eight freeform roleplaying games, which take place in both a variety of real life settings (such as the streets of New York and the glitz and glam of Hollywood to the always chaotic boarding school known as Rutherford Academy). These are big games, with a variety of places to roleplay characters and endless opportunities to form friendships and connections to other characters. We also have two epic games, which are smaller roleplaying games, but are still as well loved as our freeforms. The board has been running for four years, and we have several other games in the works, some of which will be revealed in the coming months! We work hard to make our board the friendliest and most active RP board on the net.

But we’re also a lot more than that. PE is a community, a home for roleplayers who want to get to know each other. Not only are we all roleplayers, we’re also each other’s friends. In the four years we’ve been open, we’ve seen people go through and graduate high school, we’ve seen them go to prom, we’ve helped them through issues. We love adding to our little family, and we’d love to see you on our board. Whether you’re new to the roleplaying world or whether you’re a seasoned veteran, it doesn’t matter. We’re constantly looking to grow and expand, so please check us out!
